Some of our model providers have location-based restrictions, which means certain models may not be available in your region. When this happens, those models won’t appear in Cursor, but you’ll still be able to use all other available models without interruption.

If you recently paid for a Cursor plan and lost access to certain models because the provider does not support your region, you can request a pro‑rated refund directly in the Cursor dashboard. See Refunds below for step‑by‑step instructions.

What you can do today

  1. Continue using Cursor with available models. The Auto option will choose an available model for each request.
  2. Manually select any model that remains enabled in your account.
  3. Bring your own API key (where supported) for a provider that serves your region. See API Keys.
  4. Request account cancellation with a pro‑rated refund if provider coverage materially reduces the value of your paid plan.

Refunds

Affected users will see a “Request Refund” option on the Cursor billing dashboard.

  1. Open the Cursor dashboard.
  2. Click Billing (or Billing & Invoices, depending on plan).
  3. Select Request refund.

Refund processing times vary by payment method. Refunds post to your original payment source.
